Perhaps I am not willing to give it a proper "chance" but the vulgar language is such a turn off I cannot stand to read it beyond the first dozen or two pages..... I'd hoped to learn a bit more of the history of this belief, but this author has a very limited vocabulary ~ and it is NOT good. I can't bring myself to repost the book / it will hit the recycling bin and be destroyed instead.

I enjoyed this book...

Loved it - the entire series was excellent. I've since shared my copies w/friends... I will keep this trilogy on my bookshelf. (I mistakenly reposted the first book upon completion of reading it/ later requested it again and will not make that mistake again!)

Couldn't put it down. Enjoyed the entire trilogy by this writer. I've since shared w/friends and they, too, find the story intriguing and "can't put it down" attitude. EXCELLENT READ! I enjoyed becoming more familiar w/life and times in the first century. We take so much for granted today.

This should be required reading for history classes. The sanitized version of history taught in schools today is doing our society much harm. This is not an easy read, but truthful and necessary to know how to move forward. He who is ignorant of history is doomed to relive it.

This was a great read- The first of this 3 book series was loaned to us by our grandkids and we were hooked! It is so informative and interesting- certainly a kid's dream to go be self-sufficient in the woods... unrealistic in that sense, but I've learned a lot about nature and found it very interesting. I was happy to find book #2 & #3 through Bookswap and now will share those back to my grandkids! :) Love Bookswap!

This is a very interesting way to learn some of the nitty gritty history of our country. If they'd teach this / as required reading... in our schools our citizens wouldn't be so ignorant of our past.

My husband LOVES this book / we've even gotten a second to give to one of our sons who also does reloading. Great reference book.

Actually I already have a copy of this book and wanted to find an extra one to give to a friend who enjoys hummingbirds as much as I do!! The stories in the book are just delightful, although I do wonder how she had so much time to notice and document such detail!! WOW!!! TRULY a good book for anyone interested in the little birds - I found it fascinating!

If we'd read books like this back in history class I'd have been so much more interested and applied myself 100%. This is an excellent book.

I ordered this as an extra copy to share w/others. Its a great compilation of scripture to explain our faith and trust in our God, the one God, the true and living who has made us and our world and WILL judge his people and declare your eternal destiny. Ecclesiastes 12 The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person. For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil.

I appreciate some of the points made in this book. It is a reality that these changes in attitudes of todays society are permeating the world around us. We need to be ever vigilant in sharing the Gospel of Christ.

I really did enjoy this book ... Most of her books are excellent - we appreciate her writing style as she stays true to the Bible (yes I know these are fiction!) but she has obviously done her homework!

While I must say that the brutality of daily life in the First Century was appalling, I found this book well written and true to the Gospel. I truly appreciated the historical value (while still a novel) in helping me to better understand the struggles of the Lord's church in that day and time. My husband and I both went on to enjoy the 2nd and 3rd in this series. They were very well done.
