Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia
Review Date: 11/5/2015

Funny, witty and entertaining, but there were times in the book where I thought it was too chatty which made certain sections boring to read. There were certain characters in the book where I felt were inspiring, and there were times where I felt the author was a bit dramatic too. I felt it was not the type of book where you "couldn't put it down". There were times I had to put it down and then decided about all I could take were ten pages a day before my eyes started glazing over. I rated it a 3 because she is a witty with her words, funny and entertaining with certain stories.

If you like porn novels or movies, you will like this story. Not much of a storyline other than a couple of strangers having sex. No emotional "love" storyline at all, until the very last few pages where the strangers LOVE each other and didn't know it all throughout the novel. There is no buildup of characters in the beginning or a bonding or friendship, as it's just animal attraction and sex. Descriptive sex scenes throughout novel.

This is a great book on the life of Yanni and his musical journey. It's a very soulful and spiritual book, so if you are looking for inspiration on not giving up and following your heart to fulfill your dreams, this is a must read. I thoroughly enjoyed every story and interaction of his life with the people he most cherished, and it opened my eyes on the many roadblocks that were thrown his way and how he overcame them. The book is written in his words and it was very easy to understand. I have more respect now for his musical career than ever before.
