2nd in a trilogy, I could not put this book down! The written imagery describing an alternative universe at the start of WW I, action, suspense, friendship. Facts and fiction mixed together. Steampunk at its finest. I would LOVE to see this series made into movies.

Well written about history, the sorrows and joys in this girl's family. The feelings of finding her place. Highly recommended lest we forget the struggles of the past.

Third in the series, I have really enjoyed Card's writings. His characters have such depth, you really learn their differences their dilemmas. Imagining other worlds and other intelligent species is a gift I wish I had, so I read.
