Poetic and memorable come to mind to describe this book. The life of Ahab's wife is enchanting at time's and others over come with death and human suffering that no man/woman should be able to come through with their sanity still intact. The writer has woven such a tale with her poetic words that I have saved some for future nurturing for my soul.

A part of history has now come alive for me. I really had no idea what life was like after the civil war in Missouri.

I begin to wonder why I enjoy reading these types of books, when people are treated in the most cruelest ways. Maybe for the some what happy ending for some of the characters or just to see how humans act given certain situations.

Think I'll check out more from this writer and or maybe do some research of my own into the story of this Apothecary Man who caused so much pain.

Another great read by Alan Jacobson. Karen Vail's character just keeps getting better with age. There are so many twists in the plot that I really was surprised with the ending. As an avid crime novel enthusiast, I found the book to spot on with the terminology and tactics used by our crime fighters in the story. Was also presently surprised with some of the new technology that Karen Vail had at her disposal concerning the tracking of cell phones. In closing, I look forward to reading more of Karen Vail books past and future.

This was very interesting and informative book concerning the obstacles that the Irish people faced during the years of occupation by the British Military during the time period of around 1918 to 1921. It centered around the author's experiences during the war in which he was a major contributor. His straightforward approach to the telling of his brave comrades who gave their lives to be free from the oppressive rule of Britain. One of the facts I learned was that Britain has gone to war 77 times in the last 450 years in which they 90% of those victories were the slaughter of unarmed tribesman from Africa to China.

John Otter has taken a job on a teaching voyage with a group of young students. What could go wrong? Murder and so many suspects it reminded me of some Agatha Christi novels. There is plenty of action, drama, and thrills that kept me reading till the end in a short time.

I loved it, wanted to go out and try some "good" coffee and I don't drink coffee. Been a tea drinker all my life but the way she writes it entices you to not put the book down. Places she describes bring back fond memories of the NYC village and her characters are true to life.

It was a well thought out series of events but I just hate when books have to start a relationship between the main characters who of course are better looking then most individuals. It cheapened the over all good writing with trashy love situations.

Kovac and Liska have their hands full with a cop who's lost his faith in the justice system after a brutal murder of a woman and her two children. I could not put this book down, read it straight through. I've read Tami Hoag before and will continue to read her in the future.
