All Through the Night (Troubleshooters, Bk 12) (Audio CD) (Unabridged)
Review Date: 12/29/2013

I love the Troubleshooter series but this was not my favorite one even though it had a main plot - Jules' marriage and a sub plot of his fiance's assistant finding a guy. Just seemed a little tame. But since I love the Jules charater would listen again anyway. Also not my favorite reader. Love Patrick Lawlor who does many of the other ones in this series. He has a great voice that really adds to Suzanne Brockmann's stories.

Annie Duke: How I Raised, Folded, Bluffed, Flirted, Cursed, and Won Millions at the World Series of Poker (Audio CD) (Abridged)
Review Date: 10/27/2012

Can't believe anyone can make a million let alone two million playing poker. It was fun to hear how this woman beat out all the men to win big tournament. She choose not to settle for women's poker that does not have high stakes, but played the big games, party of the time being pregnant with one of her four kids. She give tons good strategies to improve anyone's game.

One of her first books so not as complicated as many in the Troubleshooter series but a great story without as many subplots. I enjoyed it because who wouldn't want to be guarded by a big strong man while you are being chased by the mob. And they always have a happy ending.

Interesting to think about the American concept of marriage. Americans expect a lot more out of relationships that the rest of the world expect. Go figure. Would recommend it for a friend. In fact I have a friend waiting for it. Just little snippets of her and her finance, and a lot of interviewing women in the countries she is visiting. Plus some book research thrown in. An unusual combination that works. Enjoy

Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia
Review Date: 10/27/2012

Really enjoyed this book. Like a travelog for three countries that she traversed while creating a balance life within herself. Very detailewith very substantial changes from the movie. I liked the book much better with all it's rich details and story book ending. So many good thoughts I think about reading it all over again.

Very interesting idea that agent Corte, a secret US agent, does his job of keeping people safe by analyzing the whole process as a complicated game strategy. But since the main character is a board/old games fanatic it fits. The ending and second half of the book were great. Loved the super strong female characters. Listened to it on CD's, and it took all the way to disc 6 before I felt like I was engrossed. The first five discs were so slow and detailed, I was tempted to eject and get onto the next story. Glad I hung in there.

It is a small book that came in a bonsai kit. I enjoy the way it is broken down into inside and outside bonsai trees. Very concise little pages on lots different types of trees that are good for beginners. A good beginner's book with beginning projects and some more advanced ideas. I am not a beginner and still enjoyed it.

Nido came to the US with nothing and is incredibly rich now, on the board of major corporations like Lazy Boy. He has a lot to share. I know two presenter (Raymond Aaron, Chicken Soup for Canadians is one of them) that pay him a million a year to be part of his mastermind group. Definite worth paying attention to this man.
