This was different for Ms. Howard and I really enjoyed the change. The characters are well done and I had some good laughs, whether Ms. Howard intended the humor or not.

Awesome. The language is beautifully vivid. The story alternates between the spirit world and the world of the living for a young spirit child. Not what you expect. Read it and find out.

Insightful, helpful book from a medical professional who has been there and done that.
Dr. Givler does a great job bringing such a hard hitting situation into focus and then providing excellent advise and resources for the patient, treating physicians and family and friends. Very well done.

Full of surprises.
Across continents and through several identities Mukherjee treats the reader to a very well developed Hindu protagonist reaching for more after being widowed at seventeen, coming to America for the "dream" and finding some disheartening realities. If you get hung up on an ethnic protagonist forget about it, because in this well woven, quick moving story, Mukherjee capture's the essence of a young woman's mind struggling, and evolving as she does whatever she can to survive and hopefully find AND keep love.

I loved the development of characters in this book and the reality so full through out the story. If you have only seen the movie, READ the BOOK!

Garwood at her best and quite humorous. I like the combination. Makes me want to find my own mountain man or his best friend. :-)

Shadow Music by Garwood contains her trademarks for her highland lairds and their women. Humor, love, honor, betrayal with Garwood's special talent for weaving the reader into the threads of the story, make this another keeper. Princess Gabrielle, with the help of her royal guard, save the life of Liam, brother to a fierce laird, Colm MacHugh. Yep, you guessed it the story is about Gabrielle and Colm. Ahh, but there is so much more. Intrigue, murder, deceit. A glimpse of the Buchanan (Ransom) and their alliance with the MacHughs, and of course, readers find out just where the title fits in this story. Truly enjoy this story and have re-read several times over.
