Great book, especially if you like military style sci-fi. The only problem I had with it is that it is not appropriate for children. Too much psychological warfare and one moderately explicit sexual scene. Based on my reading of this book, I will read more Vernor Vinge.

An excellent book. We use it as part of our history curriculum for our kids, and it has proven a valuable resource.

Excellent financial advice --- in a society where we are taught that being indebted is the way to live, this book brings some vital wisdom to life. I highly recommend it to you if you are struggling with finances!
