I highly recommend this book. The author has intricately woven a very touching story that will keep you thinking about the characters long after you've finished the book.

Funny without meaning to be and very real in all the right ways. All New People is a gem.

Another gripping story from Gerritsen. Read this before Vanish.

Humorous little book about a man who likes to drink a little too much. He loses his job, his wife tries to leave him but he leaves her before she gets the chance. The writing is excellent and the characters believable if not entirely likeable. Definitely worth reading.

Along the lines of Bridget Jones' Diary. A fun, fast-paced frolic!

I found myself laughing out loud a lot while reading this book! I'm not a city dweller, nor have I watched Sex and the City so I could not appreciate the author's comparisons of real life in the city to the show. It did make me glad to live in my own home well-insulated from crazy neighbors and rules telling me where my dog can make doodie.

Good things: It's only 121 pages and it satisfied my "X" author requirement. Bad things: Some of the short stories read like a dream where nothing makes sense.

I loved this book! Carrie Pilby is a genius who, at 19, is a Harvard graduate working a sporadic temp job. Working with her therapist, she tries to learn tolerance and acceptance of those less genius than herself. If you've ever felt like you didn't belong, for whatever reason, you will empathize with this very likeable character.

This book is divided into sections by viewpoint. Claire, wife and mother shows us the reality of her marriage. Kate shows us how a six year old girl interprets the relationships of her parents and brother. Esau, 12 year old genius with mental issues tells it best in a very literal way. I highly recommend this book.

What an eye opener this would be for teens today to read this memoir. They only think life is hard now.

If you're like me, you know you have a clutter problem but the dejunking process seems exhausting and painful. This book applies common sense to the emotional ties we attach to stuff. I have now gained the motivation needed to begin this long-overdue process.
