This was a very warm, sensitive book recounting the life of a new widow and her move to a new town very soon after she loses her husband. She develops many interesting relationships as she works her way through her grief.-----------Disregard this---should be on A Year of Pleasures.

This book is the story of a wife,Maria, who finds a diary in the mail from her husband's mistress(?maybe?). The style of writing was very simplistic and 'street slang'.I felt like I was reading a script for a young soap-opera.Won't be looking for any more of this author's books.

This book would almost read like a history book now. It is the story of a woman who starts a relationship via e-mail.I read it in the mid 1990's and thought it was very interesting regarding the internet age. I think it would be a hoot to reread it now in light of Ipods, Iphones, and MySpace.

Another page-turner by Picoult. This story follows a family that is raising their daughter with osteogenisis imperfecta. The child's mother struggles with raising this child and the constant pain associated with the disorder. She decides to sue the delivering obstetrician for 'wrongful birth' of the child. The main problem with this law suit is that the obstetrician is her best friend. Picoult write the book through the eyes of all involved parties as they address the child with the disorder. As usual, a sudden turn of events within the last pages.....I loved the book!!!

A story of 2 sisters that have a long history. One of the sisters goes to live with her grandmother in Florida at a retirement village. There are many funny moments but also very poignant ones regarding how families evolve even when there are some hidden family facts. Way better than the movie.
