Good read for die-hard fans but a little tedious for casual fans. While providing a good history, it is excessively flattering in the description of the band and their exploits.

After a bit of a slow start, it quickly turned into a book I couldn't put down! The author does a great job of putting you in the thick of the action, filling you with the anxiety and confusion of combat. A great read for anyone interested in understanding modern warfare and its impact on the people fighting it.

Pretty good read overall but I was disappointed in a couple places with some unlikely scenarios. This is one time that I think the move was better than the book.

The plot was pretty good and made for a decent read but I was a bit disappointed with the ending. I know it is a work of fiction but he overdid some of the descriptions and outcomes . It starts out as a good action / mystery / adventure but it became almost cartoonish in the last couple chapters. I gave it a 3 star rating since it was mostly pretty good.

Great read! Well developed & believable plot with a strong female heroine. I liked it enough to add the rest of this series & the next to my wish list instead of just book 2.

Hard to get started on this but it really picks up after about the first 60 pages. Glad I kept reading.
