When I first began reading Empress, I was intrigued. I was eager to get into the story and often found myself unable to put it down. However, as the story progressed, I found myself caring less and less. When the book ended, I was sorely disappointed and wanted to throw the book across the room in frustration. I may try to read other works by this author, but book one in the Godspeaker series will be the last book of this series for me.

This was a well written story. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Was disappointed when it ended and longed to hear more of the society as it progressed.

Having watched the tv show based on this series I was eager to read The Magicians. I was not disappointed. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.

I love this book. The entire Avalon series has a prized position on my bookshelf.
