She made history come alive, told an excellent true story & I learned a LOT about how backward we were about germs then. Also ordered River of Doubt by her too & am just starting it.

I couldn't put it down. I loved it. Am already into the 2nd one & will probably buy the 3rd one if I don't find it here. Great quirky characters & edge of your seat plot. DON'T start it before Xmas or you'll never get anything else done.

HAD to read this for book club....BORING, would not recommend it. Will be interesting discussion at book club about how we view our mothers though

I knew I'd like it as I LOVED 1000 White Women & I was not disappointed. Believable & based on 1 bit of a true story. Wish he'd write some more
