Fairly light and easy to read. Half way through the book you can figure out the plot, but all in all it was a nice book, not great, or too suspenseful.

This book is written in the person of a boy with autism. It gives you insight into what goes on inside the head of someone with autism. The parents are just ordinary people trying hard to reason with their son, but his condition causes friction in their marriage. The boy has decided to take it on himself to find out what and who caused the murder of a neighborhood dog. Once he sets out on his mission he finds he has to overcome some of his own fears in order to solve the murder.

I would rather go to the dentist than ever read this book again. The main character is suffering from Capgras syndrome after a near fatal accident. He thinks that everyone is made up to play a character from his life before the accident and nothing is real. His story is compelling but the other people in the book make this story down right boring.

An American family on vacation in Ireland are suddenly trapped there after a nuclear attack. All the modern conveniences are now worthless and the family must learn to survive with whatever the earth yields. There is a band of no-good gypsies that threaten their very survival. There are a lot of twists and surprises in this novel. I liked it and I think you will too.

I love a book that grabs you right away on the first page. This book does that. The story of a truck driver who meets his victims at truck stops and takes them to his hidden lair where he and his fellow perverts torture and eventually kill them. Two young teens get caught in his net and there is only a limited time to find them. Some surprises and twists along the way. A great mystery.

The trials and hardships these boys have suffered makes your heart ache. After many years moving from one settlement camp to another the United States agrees to allow the boys of Sudan to immigrate to this country. Their main goal is to get an education and eventually return to their homeland and work to make it a better place. We follow the lives of 4 of these boys and learn the obstacles that keep being thrown in their way in their quest to obtain an education.

A fascinating view of life in North Korea. This book chronicles the life of former residents of the totalitarian regime and their flight to escape. The best book that I have read in a long time. You get to see how the North Koreans have to live and struggle to find enough food and heat resources to sustain life. Many don't make it and starve to death. People are required to spy on everyone and report if anyone complains about the government. They must report to work every day but get no paycheck for months and years on end. Electricity is sporadic and generally reserved for the capital Pyongyang. It makes you glad that you live in a capitalist country.
