Enjoyed the book for what it was worth but not going to run out and buy a whole lot of Lawrence Block books -- just not the typical reading style I like - but was an easy read to get through.

If you like Stephanie Plum, Grandma Mazur and Morelli, then you'll like this one. They are similar, not as graphic but just as much fun to read!

California Demon: The Secret Life of a Demon-Hunting Soccer Mom (Kate Connor, Bk 2)

Not my typical kind of read but pretty interesting -- not about a Soccer Mom at all but a teenage daughter Mom to which I can totally relate! Fun read on a lazy weekend :)

I like Christopher Moore's books but feel this one, although chocked full of his whit and satire, fell short of expectations. Interesting take on Lear but, while trying to be authentic, the English accent of the reader took a lot away from the story IMHO. My husband usually enjoys hopping in the car and listening to whatever I have in, but he had to insist on having it turned off while he was in the car. I had to push myself past disc 1 to get to the rest of the book but I made it.

A definite "series" book! I read Book One on a 6 hour round trip to/from the airport in a day! Book Two I was looking for a couple hours to myself because I didn't want to put it down! Thankfully, I have Book Three and am jumping right in! Definitely have to have book three ready and waiting when you finish this one.

Enjoyed the first book so I had to read this one -- the second in the series - and it was just as good! Still fighting the same fight but life unravels a little differently and with some more excitement. Looking forward to the next one! This is a "keeper" book on my shelf!

This book was loaned to me by a co-worker and I am SO grateful that she did!! I used to be an avid reader when I was younger, but getting married, having kids and all that goes with the daily grind of life put that love of reading on the back burner. My co-worker knew I would love this book (and series) and this book is what actually rekindled my love for reading! I couldn't put this book down until it was done. It is definitely a series that you will want to read in order if you intended to read them all, but any one of the books are a good stand alone read.

** WARNING ** You WILL need book two and three handy if you sit down to ready this one! It is such and easy and pleasant read that you will finish it in no time flat and will want to jump right into the next one. I always carried the next copy with me because I never knew when I would finish it or where I would be when I did. I was a schooldbus driver at the time and when you are sitting waiting for the kids to come to the bus or take a school trip, you can't be without the next one!

I love Janet Evanovich and the Stephanie Plum series (haven't missed a one of them yet), but this one was a perplexsion. It seems to me that this is more of a dream of Stephanie's put into writing. It's a short book, so no long involvement, but the mystery man seems to be something combined from Joe and what she wants in a man.

We're Just Like You, Only Prettier: Confessions of a Tarnished Southern Belle

Great funny read by a newpaper columnist that writes for the Sun Times in Myrtle Beach, SC. She tells it like it is. If her column is half as funny as this book, then the paper is a hit too!! I read this one first, but I've gotten her first book and it's near the top of my TBR Pile!! Actual laugh out loud moments explaining and justifying the Southern Redneck Way of Life. And, footnote on that, I'm Southern by choice - not by birth - and it's the best move I've ever made!!
