Lots of great information for anyone interested in one of the horse world's fastest growing, international sports. Western Reining will be one of the disciplines competing at the 2010 World Equestrian Games, being held for the first time in the United States, at the beautiful, pastoral Kentucky Horse Park.

This is not only a horse lovers' classic but a classic children's story as well. Black Beauty has been extremely popular for over a century now. This tale of horse's life is inspiring and presents wonderful learning opportunities to teach children about morals, being kind & humane to animals AND people.

A fabulous reference book for any student or fan of Thoroughbred racing. Includes great old photos of racing champions, statistics, bloodline info. and stories or racing's leading horses. There is a chapter on Seabiscuit as well.
An important addition for any horse book collector.

Utterly charming, a perfect read around holiday time. This book is well-written, has engaging characters and a good story line with a few twists. It's a lovely escape without being sugar-coated or implausible.
The bonus for me, despite having lived and worked with Brits for years, was learning lots of new to me British phrases, terms and foods.

I cannot get enough of Herriot's animal stories. They are always so entertaining!

This is an entertaining, oversized book loaded with very big color photos of each breed of puppy.
The text is quite realistic about both good traits & what "you need to know" about the breeds. Between the great photos & information, this would make an excellent book to use with children as you begin considering the right breed of dog for your family & lifestyle.
If you have a purebred rescue it's also fun to see what they must've looked like as a puppy!

This is one of a fabulous series of books. Legends is fascinating reading & perfect for anyone studying the history & bloodlines of the American Quarter Horse. In addition, the stories of each Quarter Horse legend offer the reader great information on the horse people who started & formed the Quarter Horse industry, which is now the largest breed registry & membership base in the world.

One of the best books I ever read about horses, a classic text on the true nature of horses. The Mustangs should be required reading for all horse people. This book is one of my all-time favorites & I obtain every copy I come across to give as gifts to horsey friends!
