This is the first book in the entire Mitford Series and Father Tim Series - each one are totally worthwhile to read. We all might wish there was a Mitford, Anywhere - we'd all live there. Father Tim's first dog, Barnabas has an interesting trait you must read to find out about!! And when Father Tim adopts Dooley (Buddyroe), and when Dooley marries ____ ,the rest of the series follows. Delightful series of fantastic books. Not really deep, but very well written and entertaining, jokes, food, and all. You can't put them down! Kudos to Jan Karon - wish I could write like her.

A compelling story of the 1940's and WWII with radio and no television. Kay is 10 and very confused by everything going on and doesn't understand it all. People are being accused of being accused of being Nazis. Well written.

Well written children's book about a man who lives by himself in a forest. He befriends all kinds of animals as well as a young girl. Befriending the animals is interesting as they end up living inside with him. And the little girl inadvertently allows a young boy to be involved who brings some excitement to the story. Cute nature type story.

This book is amazing!! Some parts are hard to read, but a lot of is true. Bletchley Park is a place in England where codebreaking was done during WWII - in a mansion and in huts outside on the grounds. They were sworn to secrecy in the beginning never to divulge information outside of their place of work. Many women were involved as well as men. Most of the women weren't looked on favorably, but some of them were as good as the men and some were better! Mab, Oz and Beth are the main characters and their stories are based on real people who worked there - in one capacity or another. Wonderful book and amazing to read. I can usually zip through a book in a couple days but I had to pause to reread to catch something I missed, take a breather and rest and take a break. Excellent!

This book is written by a man who was in his lifetime a real shepherd. So he knows what sheep need and how he fulfilled those needs. Just as our Shepherd Jesus fulfills and helps us with our needs. Excellent verse by verse study of Psalm 23.

A Regency Era book about Charissa and her infatuation with a young cad who washes up on her doorstep. She believes him to be good and true, not like the man she almost married in her past! But Will's past history isn't revealed until later. When Charissa finds out about Will, does that change things forever? Or will Sir Godfrey capture her before Will can tell her his true intentions? Well-written book, delightful to read and think about this interesting era in Great Britain's history. A glossary of some of the regency era words used in the book is included in the back.

A good book for current times. Story of Palestinian families - one in particular, on normal days under Israelis. Very well written. I believe in treating everyone fairly. This is very good.

Kind of difficult to read. Stories about famous Irish women but written in a confusing manner. But if you are really interested, you can read them and learn a bit more about them! I wasn't a fan.

The Wounded Heart: Hope for Adult Victims of Childhood Sexual Abuse

This is a gripping book!! She loses the young daughter of her fiance on the beach and tries and tries to recreate what exactly happened, locate any people she saw there, even goes abroad to find someone! How can this tragedy happen so quickly? This story will have you running through it, reading to see if and how she finds the daughter and where. A good tale of intrigue and sadness.
