Meh. Is this racier than "If You Give a Pig a Pancake?" Yes. Is it hardcore enough so that someone that worked in the industry would say "Damn girl, I heard that!"? No.

It's a decent middle of the road story about a girl that seemed to never really connect to what she was living by an author that seemed to be content writing a book that nobody would mind if they dropped it off their raft and into the pool.

I give it 2 1/2 stars.

Come Back: A Mother and Daughter's Journey Through Hell and Back
Review Date: 11/28/2011

An overwhelmingly powerful book. Whether or not you agree with the extreme measures Claire took to "reform" Mia, you will be captivated by the writing, the shared experiences and the pure raw emotion captured in this book.

I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in reading about child abuse, sexual abuse, drug addiction, overcoming childhood abuse, incest, behavior modification schools, troubled teenagers and mother/daughter relationships.

One of the best books I have ever read.

The original frugal encyclopedia. Not every single one of Amy's ideas will appeal to you, but I bet about a dozen or so will and that makes this book worth every penny. My husband found this book for me at a local thrift store and I've read it at least once a year, every year for about four years now. If you're into TRUE frugality you will love this book!

This book sucked the breath out of me.

It's that good.

I am a fan of Mr. King, but no, I don't love {or even like} all of his books. The Long Walk, however, is one that I just never tire of reading. There's no ghosties, no killer clowns living in the sewers, just men doing the things that men do... and that is quite scary.

ps. I bet you are absolutely exhausted when you finish this book.
