This book has everything you could want from a book about Fey. It was quick paced and action packed. I really enjoyed the fact that the author added a map of the world and pronunciation guide for places and characters in the novel as well. The story itself kept me interested and transported me to Ellevere. I found myself traveling along side Larken. I found myself getting to know all the characters and wanting to travel along with them. I also appreciated that there were LGBTQ+ inclusive characters. Since I heard this is the first book in a trilogy I truly can't wait for the second book!

I have to say that this book is horrible and that Elle and Blair used this book as a product placment resource for their channels/products. The book had no pliot and the characters had absolutley no development even tough it was obvious that they were suppose to be based on Elle and Blaire. I tried forcing myself to finish reading it but the story was just too slow I couldn't force myself to finish it. I've been a big fan of their Youtube channels for a long time and will continue to support them in that but they are not good authors and I will not be purchasing their next book. To be honest I don't think I will even try to read it.

*Trigger warning, there is domestic violence depicted in this story.
I picked this up after reading Stephanie Garber's novel Once Upon a Broken Heart and wanted to check out her first series. Even more so, after I heard that some characters from the Caraval series are mentioned/shown in Once Upon A Broken Heart as well. I've had the first two books in the Caraval series since they were published. This book has more of a dark, mysterious, and sometimes dangerous feel to the atmosphere of the world. I really enjoyed the adventure and felt like I was at Caraval. Who doesn't wish they had an enchanted dress!? I was invested in finding Tella alongside Scarlet. I look forward to continuing the trilogy and learning more about the Fates.

It is 2022 and Glitter has been out since 2018. I needed a quick entertaining read and I am a sucker for any book that is inspired by the Royalty trope. Glitter has a dystopian feel to it. Imagine if Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerburg bought a historical place, turned it into a independent nation-state (Like the Vatican), then made everyone that resided there act and dress in a specific time period. Oh yeah, annnd everyone is constantly on camera. I classify the book as a Fantasy-Historical/Sci-fi.
I loved that the author made the characters LBGTQ+ inclusive. The story itself was fast paced and kept me entertained. Danica drugs people without their knowledge. This really irked me! The relationship between Saber and Danica seemed rushed and the author could have written a more smooth transition into their tryst. Overall, I will continue to finish the story as I have the sequel, Shattered.

I DNFed(Did not finish) this book after 20 pages. It is written in documentation format (ie. through instant messages and "case files"). Although the story did sound interesting the format was not for me and thus I could not get into the book.

This is basically the Christmas version of Groundhog's Day. Predictable and the story is repetitive but I still enjoyed it. Cute romance scenes.

The writing had me hooked from the first page and the whimsy of the characters had me hooked from the first chapter. I followed Evangeline through her world and was immersed in a world I did not want to leave. I fully enjoyed the author's writing and this was my first 5 star book of 2022. I cannot wait for the next book in this adventure.

I was initially compelled to read this book because of all the hype it had. The story was a bit of an information dump and yet things kept happening in the story that was not pertinent to solving the main conflict/plot.
I DNFed this book at 50%. In my opinion the book was a little overhyped. The story felt more middle grade than YA to me. Just wasn't for me.
