While the writing style is unusual (narrated), the story draws you in and is an incredible, heart-wrenching tale which will stay with you for a long, long time. Loved it!

Haunting, unforgettable story of a young girl sexually abused at a very tender age. Your heart will ache for her and her story will stay with you forever. Caution: This book is not for the faint of heart as it contains very disturbing descriptions of the unimaginable tortures that she suffered. The foster carer is to be commended for all the love and patience she gave to this broken, little girl.

Incredibly tragic story that enlightens the reader about how the French were also involved in the murders of thousands of Jews. It'll break your heart and keep you engrossed until the very end. Can't wait to see how they turn this one into a film. Highly recommended.
