This book is the very best in erotic fiction. Though very sexy the book is also a really good story line. An unlikely couple become a couple and find love in this truly entertaining book. If you liked Fifty Shades Of Gray you will definitely enjoy this book.

American Dream: Four Inspirational Love Stories From America's Past
Review Date: 4/3/2012
Helpful Score: 1

This book which contains four novellas was very enjoyable. I must admit that my favorite story was the first one " I Take Thee". This story about a widow and a widower with two children is so heart-warming. The two struggle with their growing feelings for each other as each has gone through the painful death of a loved one.
The second story "Blessed Land" was good but slow moving, I felt. The story of a young woman in search of her sister was not as enjoyable as the first.
The third story "Promises Kept" . It is a story about a young woman whose at her fiance's death finds herself alone and in need. She is accepted into the home of a wealthy family and becomes companion to the elderly mother. I enjoyed this one as it was a real "page turner".
The last story "Freedom's Ring" is the story of a young widow and her infant daughter who must find a way to survive without any means of support. A friendly gentleman steps in to help her fulfill her dreams of settling in the New World. It was a tale of learning to trust. Fast moving, this was a great tale.

This book was one of the best I have read in a long time. I am a fast reader and instead of doing that I took my time and kept putting it down so that I could savor it longer..
This book was a love story about a widow and a widower finding love for the second time around. They take their time and get to really know each other before taking the final steps of being together.
If you like books about the time of the wagon trains moving across the country for a new life in the west then this should be your choice.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

This medieval romance by my favorite author, Jude Deveraux is one of my favorites. It is the story of the Black Lyon who is a stern English soldier and the lovely young , naive girl he marries. This love story with all its twists and turns will keep you interested from cover to cover. It has a mix of all the ingredients needed for a great book, love, jealousy, hate and intrigue.

Scheming fathers bring Regina and Diedrich together. They were expected to marry when they didn't know anything about each other.
I enjoyed reading this book which focused on how ,putting your faith in God and following his tenets, while hard to do at the time , can bring untold happiness into a person's life.

I really enjoyed this heartwarming story. The common thread through the whole thing was love . God does work in mysterious ways and you would never think that these characters could possibly mesh . But they did.. wonderfully. I just read the second book in the series "Gingham Mountain" and I enjoyed it just as much. It was so wonderful to find out what had happened to Hannah. I can't wait to get the third book in the series . Mary Connealy has become one of my favorite authors and I look forward to reading other books by her in the future.

An excellent story about a woman named Elizabeth who had just lost her husband and baby girl to influenza.Expecting to die too she just waited out the arrival of death. But instead, God intervenes and sends her a gentleman looking for someone to help him take care of his young motherless stepsisters. The infant girl will die unless Elizabeth can help with feeding the child. To be able to live together without causing an uproar in the town,Elizabeth and Jake marry. They feel that they will stay together until the baby no longer needs a wet nurse and then they can get an annulment. Love finds a way of creeping slowly into their lives and so the story unfolds. This was a wonderful, heartwarming story.

This was a wonderful story about an ex-prostitute who manages to let God into her life and make a new start. She meets Sam Two_feathers, the wagon scout who is also the acting preacher. Sam learns that he is a man that a white woman could love unconditionally and Toni learns that she is one of God's children and also capable of being loved. God's redemption shines through in this wonderful book.

Megan was a sheltered young girl in a convent when she was notified that King Henry had arranged a marriage for her. Bracken , her fiance was told also that the choice was not his. The two agree to live together for 6 months to see if they will suit each other and then marry.
The story line of this wonderful book leads you through intrigue, laughter, tears and devotion to God. If you like reading medieval romance books, then you will certainly enjoy this one. What I really liked was that it was not too long winded on the history level. This book was a five star winner in my opinion.

I have found this series of books to be very enjoyable. The first book in the series "Prairie Rose" was so good that I couldn't wait to read the second one " Prairie Fire". It is a fast moving story which does link up with the first ,telling you what is going on in the lives of characters from the first book.
This second book brings back the character, Jack Cornwall who tried to reclaim his nephew in the first book. He makes friends with a sweet young lady,Caitrin Murphy, who helps him find his faith again.
Though a bit slower , I did enjoy this book which convinced me to buy the third in the series , "Prairie Storm".
If you are a lover of western romance, like I am, you will find enjoy these books immensely as I did.
