This one is not my favorite. When you begin to notice how often an author uses one of his favorite words, or if you start to think, "I don't CARE about the details of how she brushed her hair," it's time to put the book down and read something different. Just my opinion!

I love everything this author has done. The pictures are funny & right on target for the witty captions. I'd say this book is guaranteed to cheer up just about anybody! I have given it as a gift as well as simply forced other people to read my copy. I don't really think you can go wrong with it.

My daughter loves this book! I recommend it for ages 2 and up. Kids continue to love the "touchy-feely" books up through elementary school, I have found. We especially like lifting up the little fleece blanket at the end of the book to tickle the little girl's feet. It's fun to read the rhyming text aloud, plus it makes a great bedtime story because calmness always follows action on each two-page spread. The fold-out pages are not board pages, but they are quite sturdy. Highly recommended!

This book has been a lifeline to me. It has helped me through my very darkest hours. I recommend it for people on a spiritual journey who have are having trouble loving themselves or hoping and trusting in God. I am a twice-divorced Christian woman, and the author was a Catholic priest, but he and I shared the same struggles. If Henri Nouwen were still living, I would write to him and thank him for writing this life-changing, life-affirming book. He truly understood the heart of God.

This novel exemplifies what makes a good Nicholas Sparks. If you like or think you may like Sparks, read this one.
