I was very impressed to see that the movie was pretty much exactly like the book. There were a few more details in the book but overall, I enjoyed the book.

It was an enjoyable read. I liked how the author went back in time to tell fill in pieces of the puzzle.

I personally liked the movie better. This book was difficult to follow, since there's no distinguishing the dialogue. It also left a lot of issues open or "hanging" at the end.

This book was very intense and I found it disturbing to read through some parts. I'm a total grammar police so the first half of the book was bugging me since the narrator is illiterate and it was written as if the character herself "wrote" it. I don't think I can read this book again or see the movie a second time. Once was enough for me.
