Rarely do I finish a book I don't like -- this is the exception.
The story is beautifully told -- the author really paints pictures with her words. But I have to admit that I didn't like Olive much, if at all.

Hard to put down! I thought it would be dark and depressing, but I loved Jack and his story.

This is my latest "Have you read....?" book -- I'm recommending it to everyone.
The underlying story is dark, and the ends wrap up a bit too neatly at the end. But the story of Sarah's survival is beautifully told. It's a chapter of history I never knew about.
