The Kingfisher Book of Great Girl Stories : A Treasury of Classics from Children's Literature
Review Date: 6/3/2009

This is a great book, full of wonderful stories to read to a little girl--ages 4-8. The stories are short enough that they could be read at bedtime.

I liked this book even more than the first---the main character had a dog which stole my heart. The sarcastic and funny comments kept me laughing, and the mystery kept me reading!

Good Biographical story about Booker T. Washington. Great Read Aloud to use with elementary students to promote class discussion on segregation, what really matters, and how far society has come in some areas.
