I adore Lauie Notaro, ever since I first read the Idiot Girls Action Adventure Club, I've been hooked. She's hysterical, her stories are fantastic. Anyone needing a good laugh needs to read this and all her books. No she did not pay me to say that...but i would accept it.

The Baby Owner's Manual: Operating Instructions, Trouble-Shooting Tips, and Advice on First-Year Maintenance
Review Date: 5/12/2009

any book that explains a baby akin to a clock radio is awesome. nothing is better then tellign my husband, "ooh they have a chapter on programming sleep mode!" it's great to see a baby book that has a good sense of humor. The diagrams are also cute. This would be a really neat shower gift for a good friend.

was not thrilled with the book. As a huge fan of the ABC show Lost, I have to say this dissappointed me. I guess my expectations were too high, I thought there would be more "secrets" to the show. The story felt forced and even the main character was flat and boring. I wouldn't have read it if not for Lost, and I wouldn't have finished it if not for the nagging thought "well maybe the ending is really neat" ...it isn't. honestly, don't bother unless you just want it for the sake of having it

What to Expect When You're Expecting
Review Date: 5/12/2009

this was one of the most helpful books i had when i was pregnant: it detailed each month including how you might feel emotionally, look physically, as well as what your baby was doing developmentally. It also includes a fair amount of things to watch out for, red flags etc, but it wasn't terrifing like some pregnancy books tend to be. Worth a read.
