The book is a good read--witty and fast-paced. But the author seems to be getting out some personal issues, at the expense of her family, that would have been better dealt with ahead of time, off the page. I didn't trust her to be fair-minded, which ruined the book a little.

This is a very sweet but kind of simple book--easy to read, but not too exciting to go to sleep after. It's the first in the series, and the books get better and better; but you have to start with this one.

It was great! Really creative and well-thought-out, with lots of (possible) messages about our society.

Very funny and honest; also, he is not mean but merely describes what he seems around him.

I really believe in the ideas expressed in this book. I don't think I could have accepted them a few years ago, but now (having been burned several times) it totally makes sense. I hope I can make use of it the next time I'm in a not-good relationship.

It was very good--complicated relationships without clear good and bad guys. Made me think of my own dysfunctional high school friendship. I couldn't put it down until I finished it.

I thought this book was really good. At first the concept seemed simplistic, but quickly details added up until it became a really thoughtful and complicated story. I read the whole series, unable to put it down, and found the ending satisfying.

I found the book very readable (i.e., I didn't want to put it down), but I didn't *enjoy* reading it. I just wanted it to be over--to find out what happens and be done with it. I didn't look forward to getting into bed and reading.

I had expected it to be more sweet and romantic. There was a very violent scene at the beginning that caught me off guard; then it was just trauma and upset for the entire book, with practically no relief. Also, the author kept switching point-of-view which I found disconcerting; I didn't think it was very well written.

I felt very disappointed with the ending, and then realized that it is part of a trilogy; so I googled to read the plots of books 2 and 3 so I could find out the ending without reading them.

I would not recommend this to someone looking for romance, or lovers of young adult literature. It is very soap opera-like, if you're into that.
