I woke up early this morning and had a few thoughts. First, I am thankful for my family and friends. We spend a lot of time going through life not being as thankful as we should be for the life that we have and the people that are in our lives. Thanks for being there.

And I am so thankful for all of my friends and the community here at PBS. It really is a wonderful place for all of us to come and visit, share and build relationships around a common bond in reading.

Here at PBS, we all share in the joys of reading, life, and community.? Thanks for being a member and for making this such a tremendous place.? It is great to meet so many of you even though we are often separated by many miles.

To all of you, I wish you and your family the very best this holiday season!

Dear Members, It is with heavy heart that I must again report that we have lost another pillar of our community. Sherry Nisly passed away recently. She was a beloved member to many in our club and will be missed by many members and the PBS Team. I had the opportunity to interact with Sherry on a number of programs while she was a member. I will miss seeing her name pop up in the forums and for her help on the site. We will be setting up another memorial for a school in her honor. I will be contacting the family and will pass along details as they become available. Thanks for your continued support. Please take a moment to honor Sherry and include her and her family in your prayers and thoughts. Sincerely, Richard

Richard (Founder-PBS) - , : We are all very sad to hear about the passing of one of our beloved members - Tracey Mast (sexypineapple)and wish to extend our thoughts and prayers to her family during this difficult time. Tracey was a wonderful Games Mod and a Member of the Month. She will be missed by all of us. On behalf of the PBS Team and all of our wonderful members, we would like to do something to remember her by and will be setting up a donation program to benefit an elementary school of the families choice with some new books. Our hearts go out to the entire family and all of you - her friends. She was a wonderful person and will be missed by all of us. It is evident that she touched the lives of many people, including ours. Thank you all for showing that you care. We are a family and it is very sad when we lose one of our own. We will keep you posted as to our plans for remembering Tracey as they become available. Best regards, Richard on behalf of the entire PBS Team

Thank you for setting up the school in Tracey's memory! It warms my heart to know she will continue to touch young readers for years to come thanks to PBS. :)

Richard (Founder-PBS) - , : Hello everyone! We just launched a new feature today - Mail (a book) to a Friend. Here is how it works: If you would like to send of your books to a friend (PBS member or non-PBS member): This is called the mail-to-a-Friend feature. * Go to the Book Details page for the book (click on the book title or cover image anywhere on the site) o Choose "Mail-to-a-Friend" under More Options on the right of the page o If the book is currently Posted as available on your Bookshelf, there is also a Mail-to-a-Friend link on the upper right of the Book Details page. * Fill in the name and address where you want the book sent o Print out the wrapper and send the book as usual - you may use PBS-DC or Printed Postage in the process. o The transaction will appear on your account page on the "Books Sent to a Friend" tab * When your friend receives the book, mark it received from that tab. * This is a non-credit transaction. No credit will be deducted, or granted, for sending your book out this way. I hope you enjoy it and that you get a lot of use from this new feature. Happy reading, Richard

Richard (Founder-PBS) - , : Dear Members, Check out the fresh new look on the Home Page! Once again we have been busy behind the scenes working on a simpler and easier design. Some of you may remember the surveys that we sent out earlier this year and one of the things that you wanted was some additional things on the Home Page. We think that you will find this new functional design to be a great benefit for all of us. The new Carousels allow you to browse more books by scrolling through your favorite genres and more. You can find swap books to request or find some new books at super prices! Up in the top right corner under the "Welcome Back" box, you can see all the action items at a glance. Moving down the page you can Connect with all of your friends on the site. And check out the New Member sections, What's Happening, and the Latest Book Reviews - all available with a new scroll feature so that you can check out all the latest news. We hope you like the changes as much as we do. All the best and happy reading to you all! Sincerely, Richard and the PaperBackSwap Team

I love the Bullentine Board and all the new stuff added to the Homepage and have used the Send a book to a friend, that is really cool. I was pm'd when they got their books and even though no credits are involved I think its an excellent addition to some people less fortunate to be able to be on PBS.

PBS behind the scenes rocks and i was shocked to see all the complaints right off the start. Come on people. They work hard to help us and do a fine dang job I may add. Be thankful and appreciate all the hard work their doing for us on a "Free" sight and to be able to keep it "free". I would even pay yearly charges if it was to help and you know?it'd have too. People aren't made of money to work hard just to satisfiy everybody and all the different things everybody wants. I wouldn't have a problem sending in 15.00 to 20.00 a year for pitching in for the awesome stuff we get back out of it. Just in case some of you have missed it there is no cussing people out and acting out like 2nd or 3rd graders in the forums. i think NO I know. PBS is the best site i've been connected with for a book site in a very very long time. PBS Rocks and all the people behind the scenes makes this happen for us. They should get tons of respect for what they do and how they do it.? This is just MY opinion.
