This book contains two stories by Nora. They were first published in 1985 and 1986. The first one, "Partners" was okay. It was kind of a "whodunit" story with some romance on the side. I was pretty surprised to learn the culprit at the end. Several times snakes were referred to in the story. If these leave you rather squeamish, this story might not be your favorite!!
I enjoyed the second story "The Art of Deception" much better. It was a story about a male artist who comes to stay for awhile in the castle owned by a well=known eccentric artist. He's quickly fascinated by his host's daughter. But, since things aren't always as they seem, he has a hidden motive, too. He's been paid to find out about some fraudulent paintings that have shown up on the market. The daughter, Kirby, is a breath of fresh air; her father is rather funny; and the romance between Kirby and Adam, the houseguest, is steamy. It was a good read.
