William Frederick Temple (1914-1989) was a British science fiction writer. He was a member of the British Interplanetary Society and involved in science fiction fandom before writing. His best known work might be the novel which formed the basis for the film Four Sided Triangle. He also wrote space opera.

Prior to World War II, Temple shared a flat in London with Arthur C. Clarke.

Temple's son, Cliff Temple, was a leading UK athletics journalist, writer, commentator, and coach and his daughter, Anne Patrizio MBE is well known in Scotland and the UK as a campaigner for the rights of LGBT people and their parents.
