A very brightly illustrated picture book about a girl who gets so angry that she runs away for part of the day to cool off, then comes home and everything is back to normal. This book is a good opening for speaking to children about how to deal with anger. I personally don't like the storyline where the girl runs away as she is very young and I feel this is not only illegal to be alone like that all day but could be dangerous for her, so I didn't like modeling that to my children but they did love the book. Oh well.
It would've been a great book if it didn't have the running away part!

My 3 year old son loves this book -- the vivid pictures and the story. He's got a lot to ask about why she is mad and what she is doing to calm down. Great book! Regarding the running away part -- my son is too little to really understand that, and really understands that Sophie just needs to get away from her sister.
