I enjoyed the Canadian West series. I think Janet Oak is a fine author and I would recommend her books to anyone who enjoys a good Christian love story.
This is book #4 in the Canadian West Series.
Leaving behind their dear friends in Beaver Creek, Elizabeth and Wynn take over an even more primitive outpost in the Canadian Northwest. Elizabeth finds herself totally isolated because of the Indian women's fear to even communicate with her. They thought they had faced the most crushing disappointment of their lives when they saw little Sammy disappear from view in the arms of his father. Would they be able to survive the challenges ahead?

This is an excellent book, as are all of Janette Oke's books. It is the 4th book of the Canadian West Series. The setting is in the far North Canadian country. It brings to vivid life, the trials of a Canadian Mountie and his wife facing their life in a remote settlement of Indian trappers and their families.
now a true frontier woman, she had triumphed over the worst life could mete out or had she?

I have the four-book gift set from my mother's estate. I've listed each of the four separately. I haven't read these four of Oke's.
