J.W. is away from home when a couple of thugs come looking for his ex-wife's husband. Zee has never heard of him, and when they started beating her and threatening her daugher, she shoot them. J.W., of course, can't let it go and starts trying to figure out why, how, etc. The setting is not emphasised as much as usual, but it's still an entertaining read.
Great read, good recipes. A cozy set on Martha's Vineyard--love these books.

Wow! This must be the first "Vineyard" mystery which is almost all mystery;. with very little family life, cooking, fishing, etc.
I wish they had all been like this one.
