Forester was born and grew up in a remote farm in Ontario, Canada. When she was 7 years old, she was passionate to be a nun. However, Forester resisted such a calling after watching Julie Andrews's The Sound of Music. When Lady Diana became a princess, Forester spent hours planning her ordinary wardrobe into a princess wardrobe ans established sort of princess.
During that time, she decided to become a princess detective to solve international cases to bring world peace. It only lasted until she and her sister discoved synchronized swimming. Both planned in detailed their lives as a future world famous synchronized swimmers. As Forester grew older, she would write out her ever-changing careers in details. She spend her days imagining doing sort of things and wrote about it. She studied and graducated in the University of Toronto.
During that time when Forester was in university, she worked as a front desk of Sheraton Hotel in Toronto. She would every day registered about a hundred or more people.
Screenwriter, Director
After graducating, Forester's passion for storytelling led her to write and directed a short film for CBC. The Pony Tale was aired on Gobal Television and Forester rashly moved to Los Angeles, California. Roger Corman, a famous independent film producer mentored her and gave the opportunity to write and later, directed her first featured film, Circuit Breaker, starring Richard Grieco and Corben Bernsen.
Forester soon directed another film, Macon County Jail with David Carradine and Ally Sheedy, followed by a Disney Channel film, Cry of the White Wolf and Teen Scorcery, a story about the mischievous teenage witches that were shot in Romania.
Novelist, The Girl Who Could Fly
Forester began writing The Girl Who Could Fly as a screenplay, which was optioned by Paramount Pictures. She loved the story so much and decided to wrote it as a novel. It is one of her first novel that was published by Square Fish. Currently, Forester is looking forward to the opportunity to write more.
After publishing The Girl Who Could Fly, Forester has won the Bank Street Best Children's Book of the Year, Booklist Editors' Choice, Florida Sunshine State Young Readers Award Master List, Indiana Young Hoosier Award Master List and the Utah Beehive Book Award Master List Awards. The novel was under the Top 10 First Novels for Youth.
