Gus Wheatley's wife, Beth, disappears without a trace with a serial killer on the loose in town. The FBI are called in and think that Beth might be in the killers sight since some of the victims greatly resemble her. Somehow a cult is brought up and an FBI agent goes undercover to see if there is any connection. A few twists and a rather surprising ending.
This is interesting and does keep your interest but once it gets into the whole cult thing I kinda got bored.

Gripping, edge-of-seat, nail biting. Great book on tape; don't listen at night, alone... ;)

started out pretty good and kept my interest until about half way and by that time it was just getting boring and just dragging on every page
I didn't finish it as I just couldn't keep focused it was just draggy but I just skipped and skimmed untii I got enough to know what happened

just finished and this was a great book. had a hard time putting it down. Total surprise ending.
I like this author and this one does not disappoint.
Try this if you like John Grisham. Pretty good mystery.

Under Cover of Darkness is not part of the Jack Swyntek series but a standalone novel of suspense and mystery involving a missing wife. Husband, Gus Wheatley takes an active role in the search for his wife, Beth, and a serial killer that the FBI feels may be responsible for her disappearance. Many twists, many turns, and such betrayals come to light! So far James Grippando has never failed to entertain and delight me with his novels, and Under Cover of Darkness is no different.
