This book is inspiring. Just don't read it at night, like I did. I stayed up until 2am reading it straight through.
It is a good read and will motivate you to get out and move.

I enjoyed this book. I have no desire to ever run the distances he runs but it was inspiring as far as getting out of your rut and finding a passion for something in life.

If this book doesn't inspire you to get off your butt and hit the road, nothing will.
Dean is actually a super-nice guy in person, but he comes across as pretty arrogant in this book.

This book sat on my bookshelf for at least a year before I finally gave it a read .... man I am hitting myself for wasting all that time. Dean effortless transports the reader into his adventures and inspires you to push yourself to go farther in your own running as well. But, the kicker is, yes, this is about running, however, his message transcends to everything we do in life. So even if running is not your thing, this is one of the most inspiring books, just replace running with whatever it is you do. If this book doesn't motivate you to push yourself above and beyond your comfort zone, nothing will...
Inspiring! It is interesting to see what's going through these crazy ultra-marathoner's heads. It's pretty amazing what the human body can do!
