This collection of one new ("In All Seasons") and three previously published novellas includes settings from 16th-century England and late 19th-century Washington State. It features heroines that range from a betrayed noblewoman to a time-traveler who ends up in the body of a woman in labor.

love this author but I'm not a big fan of multiple stories in one book.

This contains four short stories by Linda. Three of them take place during the US territory days. These are "In all Seasons," "The Scent of Snow," and "Store-Bought Woman." The fourth is a story that starts out in current times and then the heroine becomes a time traveler. It's called "That Other Katherine."

These are some Linda Lael Miller's earlier stories. They are interesting and I enjoyed them, but not really her best work.
