Another one that I couldn't put down! Parallel development of the trial plot along with the personal story done very well.

The ending to this one sure was a surprise! I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this book, with football playing a large role in it. But the characters were as fun as always and the plot was more of a shock than usual. While I am looking forward to the next two books, the formula of the frame-up defense is wearing a little bit thin... I guess these books aren't really meant to be read back-to-back like this.

I have now lost track of how many books I have read by David Rosenfelt. None of them have ever been disappointing, including "Sudden Death" which I recently finished reading. The suspense, his unique sense of humor and love for animals will always keep me interested. Great book!

This series is very enjoyable. I love the characters and the wit. This one brings some changes in the personal lives that make it a little different, but the usual good plot of Rosenfelt's legal thrillers.

Loved book 4 even more than 1, 2, & 3, if that's possible! It's written to make you laugh, make you think, and wow - a surprise ending!

This is the 4th volume in the Andy Carpenter series and it does not disappoint. Andy Carpenter is defending a famous football player accused of murdering another friend and fellow football player on the NY Giants football team. There is lots of action and much of author Rosenfelt's usual sardonic humor. The case reminds me of the celebrity frenzy surrounding the OJ Simpson trial, in some ways. Andy Carpenter fans, this one is worth waiting for.

It is not often that I become enamored of a mystery series. This is one of the few exceptions. I love Andy Carpenter, purely and simply. He's an amazing attorney but is full of self-doubt. He loves Laurie, a police officer who quit the force and became a private detective over a matter of ethics. He also loves Kara, his wonderful Golden Retriever. He has a lot of other quirky people that are a huge part of his life. It is an engaging cast of characters. Did I mention his humor? He is absurdly funny, full of superstitions and self-deprecation. This books involves a Giants football team player who is charged with 1st degree murder of a player of the Jets. The only thing I didn't like about this book was the cliffhanger at the end. Otherwise, he scored a touchdown or possibly a whole lot of field goals and PATs with this book.

Read the Books in order

Very easy to figure out, took Andy too long to figure it out. Had a sad tone through out the book.
