The Pixie Tricks books were some of the first chapter books that my son read. My son read a some of the Pixie Tricks books from the library and then asked me to buy him the whole series. If your child likes magic and fantasy but is too young to read Harry Potter, your child will probably like this series. This series is for 6-9 year olds according to the Barnes and Noble web site.

My daughter (7) loved this book. She read it by herself. Check out Sporty Sprite to see a full description of the premise of the series.
This story is about how Violet and Sprite trap a fairy named Pix.

Fun reading and good for the reader who likes princess stories, but maybe grown out of the Disney type - or ready to read about others.

It's up to Sprite, the Pixie Tricker, to catch the fairies, but he needs Violet's help. Pix is a fairy who just wants to have fun and play games.
