Not my cup of tea, I suppose. Hornby has a nice style in this book, but I found it difficult to relate to... I don't know most of the songs he describes. The premise is great, but the fact of the matter is that it sort of gets boring to read about why a song is great.

This is a decent book of short articles by one of Britian's best rock critics.

The premise here is simple: Hornby is writing about his favorite songs, with a chapter dedicated to each. Any fan of pop music or Nick Hornby's writing (preferably both!) will really enjoy this one...

Interesting commentary on music by one of the great social commentators of our generation.

I loved the chapter on one of my favorite Ani Difranco songs (well, half a chapter.) BUT, this book, for the most part, bored me. Great writer. Not so great music. Well, no all.
