I finished this book today. I have mixed feelings about the book. It started out entertaining. There were parts towards the end where the author could have moved this book in a better direction.

I can't say that I hated this book, but I can't say I liked it either. It held my interest just enough to finish it, but I mostly just wanted to be done so I could find something better to read. The story line was a little dry. I think my biggest complaint was that it was very drawn out. I think the book could have been about half the length. It seemed as if a bit of it could have been left out. My other complaint was there were too many issues thrown in-- depression, interracial relationships, abortion, homosexual relationships just to name a few-- which again, I think some of that could have been left out. Decent read, but I was glad to be finished.

This book was incredibly slow for me and didn't hold my interest until the last 100 pages but even then, it was like a totally different book. I agree with other reviews that this book could easily be half as long and you wouldn't miss out on anything. Too long winded, too much back and forth from the past to present day.

The topic of this novel--identical twin sisters who have ESP--intrigued me, and I'm glad I read it. The book is extremely well written. The characters are believable, and although I found the unfolding of the story to be a bit dry, at least it wasn't overly emotional--I didn't feel that I was reading a soap opera in print. Would definitely recommend, especially for readers who are interested in the topic and/or with connections to St. Louis, which features prominently as well.

I really wanted to read this book based on the description but it was such a disappointment. I did not like the back and forth between past and present. Without giving away any secrets of the book I will just say that I did not like what happened towards the end of the book. Seemed totally unnecessary and disconnected from the main storyline.
