I loved this book. It was funny, witty, and charming. I am not a shoe addict, but somehow I felt like I could relate to each of the characters. Whether it be spending too much money for the joy of the buy, feeling insecure, or out of place...each character seemed very real.

I read this book in one day...I couldn't put it down.

This book was amazing! I absolutly loved it! I started and finished it within an evening. I have already preordered (comes out in June) her next book which I am sure will be just as wonderful!! And of course when I finish that one, it will be up for grabs!! Enjoy!

Fun, easy read about four women who share the same shoe size and the friendships that develop when they meet together to trade shoes. Engaging characters. Read it in one sitting.

This novel was terrific! Four women, with four different personalities and lifestyles, join forces in a support group called Shoe Addicts Anonymous, in the Washington, DC area. From the eBay addict up to her eyeballs in debt, the political wife caught shoplifting, a phone-sex operator with agoraphobia, and a nanny for the family from hell, these four women bond over their size 7 and a half Manolos. Surprisingly funny and endearing, this book is a winner!

First time I ever read anything from this author, was given to me as a birthday present as I love shoes. Perfect gift, already have this authors other book on my wish list.

When I started listening to this book (books on cd), I wasn't in the mood to listen to a bunch of women whine about how 'horrible' their perfect lives were. I almost popped it out a couple of times too.

So glad I didn't because it was such a nice surprise to find out that I couldn't have been more wrong in my assumptions.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were from all walks for life, all ages and things didn't turn out 'perfect' for any of them.

Also, I enjoyed the author's style of writing...she didn't linger on being overly descriptive....something I appreciated.

Great read (or listen) and would recommend it.

Started off really cute and promising but I struggled to finish it when it turned into a quasi-mystery, rushing to an ending.

I read this book in two days. It was too good to put down for long. I enjoy this "chick lit" author because she writes entertaining stories that make you root for happy endings. This book is focused on Lorna, Sandra and Helena...three women who's lives have been overtaken by their lust for shoe shopping. Lorna is a young woman who is near bankruptcy due to the fact that she spends too much money on shoes and not enough paying her bills. Sandra is an overweight phone sex operator who is an agorophobic. She is addicted to online shoe shopping. Helena is a gorgeous wife of a politician who cheats on her and doesn't show her love. Helena uses shoe shopping as a diversion from her unhappy life. When she is caught shoplifting Helena finds herself being blackmailed by a photographer. When Lorna creates a group for shoe lovers who want to swap high end shoes, both Sandra and Helena join the group. Lorna, Helena and Sandra find themselves enjoying their shoe swapping club and are joined by twenty-something Joss, who joins the group not out of a love for shoes but in order to get away from her live-in nanny position. As the four women bond over shoes, their loves lives and food they find their lives changing for the better. This is a really good book. It's also being made into a motion picture starring Halle Berry.

This was a quick cute book. Some of the story lines may have ended just a little too easily, but that was some of the fun of the story. Everyone got what they wanted in the end. I really enjoyed this book and there is a sequel, but not sure I'll read it.

While "Shoe Addicts Anonymous" was a quick, easy, and enjoyable read, it runs in the same vein as many other chick-lit books--four women, of completely different backgrounds, find a common interest in something, subsequently resulting in a weekly meeting/class/etc., and through these meeting and story sharing, each woman overcomes her issues and lives happily ever after (for the most part). If you love these types of stories, chances are, you'll love this book too, but if you're new to the genre, I would suggest reading "The Friday Night Knitting Club" instead.
