I was not sure I was ready for another Vince Flynn tale about the intrigues and politics of Washington, but this is one of the best so far. Certain parts were fraught with susupense, such as the scenes in Milan, some had antipated results, such as the raid in Iraq, but the most fun were the denouements toward the end, as the villians got their deserved desserts. Will this be the end of the Mitch Rapp series? Have no fear, according to the website, there are five more books in this series.

If you are new to the Mitch Rapp series, don't read this book until you have read The Third Option. This book resolves events from the previous book. Although Flynn does provide some background, IMHO it would be best to not jump into the series here.
This book starts out a little slow, focusing on Mitch's relationship with Anna and sort of assassin mid life crisis before the action starts. However, the character of Mitch Rapp is more fully fleshed out, and as usual Flynn turns the politics and corruption in Washington into nail biting suspense.

Like the other " Mitch Rapp " books by Vince Flynn, the action is fast and furious. What amazes me is how often his plots have actually come to pass. It's like he can see the future. First class like all his others

Any book by Vince Flyn is a winner.

This book continues the plot started in The Third Option. It was slow-starting, with a lot of time spent recapping the events of that book. Two hundred pages in the action picks up and it is a thrilling read. It is a little dated as one of the story lines revolves around Saddam Hussein and his pursuit of nuclear weapons.

Absolutely anything by this author I love and have read repeatedly.
Very consistent with prior Vince Flynn books

Another Mitch Rapp thriller. A great book in a great series.
Mitch Rapp and the other characters in this series are full, alive and oh I sure wish the USA had this much moxey dealing with terrorism today..
Very fast moving and very entertaining. If you want action this is it.
Mitch Rapp is Jack Reacher on steiods and more wirey. But love both charaters from two of the best action authors out there. Its a great loss than Vince is no longer with us.
Enjoyed the book very much and would suggest it to readers who like this type of reading.
I loved Flynn's 2 other books I read prior to this one. But, this book just dragged and his "relationship" with Anna is ridiculous. She's a petty, self-centered, annoying, whiny woman-child. He's a tough as nails Assassin. Except when he's with her. She reduces him to mush. He rescued her from a terrorist, so it's not like she doesn't know what he does for a living. But, she's a reporter, so she has to know everything. Even when a woman has been shot and National Security is involved, she's yelling at him that he was late and breaks up with him! ! Then she's crying/angry that he didn't leave her a note! He's crying and trying to do his job, which in the last 20 pages, he finally does. Then the idiot actually proposes to her. Ugh. I think I threw up a little in my mouth. I don't read political thrillers for mush.
I think I'm done with Vince Flynn novels not just because of the mush factor, but because of his huge Republican bent. Everything that goes wrong is the fault of the Democrats. It's really sickening how he inserts his political views into this book. Even if I wasn't disgusted by Mitch and Anna getting married, I'd be done with these books.
