An enthralling story of love and mystery which takes place in Scotland. I'm not usually a lover of fiction, but this was a book I could scarcely lay down. If you love Scotland, you'll feel as though you are there, as you travel through the highlands. I think you will LOVE this story!

Usually, I read only historical romance. However, this contemporary romance is the third in Jaclyn Reding's Highland Heroes series. Hundreds of years separate this heroine, Isabella Elizabeth Mackay Hutchinson (Libby), from her ancestors featured in the first two books, "The Adventurer" and "The Pretender."
This was a wonderful story of Boston-raised, "average-looking," thirty-one-year-old Libby going to Scotland to honor her late mother's request to unravel a family secret, a secret that impacts Libby's life unbelievably.
Wonderful love story and now, on to the fourth one in the series: "The Second Chance."

Leaving behind her high speed NY life, bookseller Libby Hitchingson has set off for Scotland in search of her late mother's ancestry and she's about to find the greatest suprise of her life.
In that very corner of the Highlands, Graeme Mackenzie is a safe distance from the mob of women vying for his heart and his inheritance. So when Libby shows up at his doorstep, the fed up Scotsman aims his gun at this woman. The ensuing battle between the handsome laird and the American provides Highland charm and a love that reaches beyond the ages. From back cover.
