This one is a little bit darker compared to the first book. Everyone is dealing with their own issues, Carmen and her anger issues, Tibby and trying to find herself through tough times, Lena and her feelings and why she can't make up her mind, and Bee discovering a part of her past that she isn't too sure about in the start. This book takes on those issues and lets you see how they start to realize what the issues are doing to them and how to change that.

I read the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and it left me wanting more of the girls. After reading The Second Summer of the Sisterhood, it again left me wanting more adventures of the girls. these are great books. You are bound to love them.

this is a good book but if you havent read the others its a little confusing so read those first but it was still a good book so were the others

This book, like the first one, was quite good. Again, Tibby's story and Lena's story held the most interest for me. Carmen's story felt like a repeat of the first one and it made me not like her character as much since it felt like she didn't learn anything from the previous summer. Bridget's story was very insightful and helped change my perspective of her as a character since she felt more 1-dimensional in the first book compared to the other girls.

As an adult - I thought the first book was very good and decided to try the second in the series. It was fine and I recommend this to any young adult reader.

Another great book by Brashares!!!I enjoyed Bee and Lena the most in this book. Carmen and Tibby didn't have as much adventure as the other two in this book.

A great sequel to a fantastic book. Once again we get a tangle of lives as the four friends venture through another summer and learn more about who they are. Brashares does a great job of weaving in the past book, but at the same time creating something completely new. Each character seems to be much more aware of who she is this summer, and yet they're all making mistakes and learning how to deal with your own miserable self. I loved the ending.

YA Second in the series about four best friends and the pants that have become an expression of stress points (good and bad stress) in their summer. One of the girls mother's even borrows the pants for a crucial date. I liked the characterization of each of these young women who are learning about the decisions they have to make in their lives.

This second book in the series is another caring, insightful look into the lives and emotions of a group of four high school girlfriends. I loved it and empathized with the girls, even though the drama of high school is a generation behind me! This book spent more time focusing on the mothers than I recalled in the first book.

Brasheres has a wonderful way of drawing her characters. I feel I would recognize any of the girls on the street if they walked by!

I really enjoyed this book. This story follows the 4 girls who have been best friends since they were born through another summer. They were all going to be home this summer except for Tibby who was taking a summer college class in film development. At the last minute, Bridget found a stack of letters from her grandmother that her dad never showed her or her brother. She wanted to know more about her family so she decided to go to Alabama. She looked a lot different with her blond hair dyed brown so she rented a room there, picked a phony name and started doing odd jobs for her grandmother while slowly learning about her mother and her grandparents. The girls continued to send the pants to each other with letters to continue the tradition they started the year before. Each of the girls had their own challenges to overcome but they all had the support of their Sisters and the "magic" of the pants to help them find the courage to do what they needed to do. One young heart was broken in pieces but she wasn't alone, not for a minute.

I just want to say that these books are better than the movies! The movies just left me flat, but the books are really entertaining, and I couldn't put them down!
