I love Sandy Hingston's writing. Her heroes in this book are un-typical characters; i. e., he's essentially crippled, having had his knee blasted by a cannon ball in the war; the heroine is nearly six feet tall and athletic. She wants to learn how to fence as she has plans to join her twin brother who is fighting in the war. The crippled war hero instructs her in fencing and from there..........

Well-written; interesting, colorful characters, well fleshed out. The story line was good; the secondary characters well thought out and believeable. This author does not get enough recognition - she's good!
