Another great Kleypas novel. If you are new to her books, don't start with this one as it references other charachters - but a great read once you've finished the others.
In the story of the final Wallflower, Daisy, I think her story was just okay. It didnt help that the story before was Devil in Winter, a favorite for all romance readers. I found myself a bit bored with Daisys story. I think there was not a huge focus on the couple, but involved previous Wallflowers, which did not work in the connection between the two. Some moments in the story were amusing, the key incident and I think that the ring was so romantic! Unfortunately, the story was forgettable, but its not a reason to not finish the series. I have really enjoyed the Wallflower series, but this one was my least favorite.

The last of the wallflowers, this one doesn't disappoint. It's fun, but like many romances, it seems like the heroine changes her mind conveniently. But, that doesn't detract from the read.

The last of the wallflowers, Daisy Bowman has been given an ultimatum by her father. Either find a husband, or marry the man he picks for her...Matthew Swift. Daisy doesn't want anything to do with Matthew, remembering him as a sober man who never smiles. But when Daisy meets Matthew again, sparks fly.
This was my least favorite of Kleypas' Wallflower series. Even though both the hero and heroine are both likeable characters, I kept waiting for something interesting to happen. If you are reading the series, I would still read it for the closure. But in my opinion, it is just your average historical romance.

Sweet story. Guy loves girl all his life but feels he doesn't deserve her. Girl sees guy after long absence and falls in love. Circumstances tenuous. Loved it!

Another fun story about the wallflowers! This time it's Daisy Bowman. Her father has told her he will force her to marry a man of his choosing if she doesn't find a husband soon.

Last book in the 'wall flower' series.Daisy's story!! Lisa Kleypas writes a romantic story with twists and turns but all ends well!!
Helpful Score: 1
4th book in this series--read the others first with the seasons in the titles. I love Lisa Kleypas!
Not as good as "Devil in Winter," but engaging and sweet.
A scandalous and passionate book...
The last of the wall-flowers, Daisy is in search of a husband. Is she can't find a husband by herself, her father insists she will marry Matthew Swift. A man who works for him and is more like a son than his own sons. Daisy is horrified. Matthew is the last person she would want to marry, at least that's what she thinks until she sees him again, after 2 years he has changed more than should be possible. But right at the moment of sweet surrender, a scandalous secret is uncovered...one that could destroy both Matthew and a love more passionate and irresistible than Daisy's wildest fantasies.
Fourth in the series - not the best one, but fun to read
I thought this was a very cute book...I liked both the main characters alot!
Good story & wrap up to the wallflower series!
The last wallflower book, I am sad that its over... I absolutely loved this series!!

This is the fourth book in the Wallflower series and it was pretty good.
This is Lisa Kleypas' final book in the Wall Flower series. It's Daisy Bowman's turn to tie the knot. It's a great book! If you loved the previous books, you'll love this one.
4th book in this series--read the others first with the seasons in the titles.
Excellent mystery/romance. Part of a great 4 book series
The last book in the "Wallflower" series ... I loved all 4!!

Loved this series. The wallflowers show how it is not what is on the outside that counts but what is on the inside. The fun and adventures they have in discovering that about themselves is a great ride. A must read series.
Lisa is a solid writer. You won't be disappointed.
good book
After three unsuccessful London seasons, Daisy Bowman is given an ultimatum by her rather cruel and nasty father - find a husband or one with be found for you. Matthew Swift, her father's protege is the one selected. Daisy, of course, knows Matthew and hates him because he is just like her father - or so she thinks. Daisy isn't your typical London miss. She's outspoken and has ideas that get her in trouble with her callus father.
The unintentional courtship is at times both funny and heartbreaking. Matthew is a sweetheart with dangerous secrets and Daisy doesn't want to leave England (Matthew lives in America) or her sister (her best friend and only familial support).
I really enjoyed this conclusion to the Wallflowers series. All the wallflowers and their husbands make appearances in this story...kinda like a family reunion.

This is the fourth and final of Lisa Kleypas simple yet brilliant Wallflower books. It's a light, uplifting, happy book.
At the start of the series four Wallflowers--women who each, for various reasons, were unable to find suitable husbands--agree to band together to help each other. Daisy is the last left unmarried and after three unsuccessful seasons in London, her father has put his foot down. If Daisy can not find a man of her choosing by the end of this season, he will arrange for her to marry his business associate Matthew Swift. Daisy is sure Matthew is the exact opposite of what she would want in a husband. Pragmatic, sensible, and ambitious to a fault, he appears not to have a single romantic bone in his body. But Matthew has been secretly in love with Daisy for as long as he's known her. He insists he cannot marry her, however. Secrets from Matthew's past haunt him even as the romance between he and Daisy blooms.
There's a lot to love about this book. Daisy is charming and adorable. Matthew's personality compliment's hers well, his practicality balancing out her romanticism. He shows a great deal of appreciation for her just the way she is, and repeatedly jumps to her defense. The plot is simple and uncluttered. The one major conflict didn't fit particularly well, however. It seemed like Kleypas put it in because she felt something else needed to happen, and that was the best she came up with. But, the women are charming and their friendship is great fun to read about.
I would definitely recommend this series to lovers of light historical romance. They are quick, easy, enjoyable reads.

I liked this book. It reminded me of a combination of Pride and Prejudice and the Mark/Juliet storyline from Love Actually.
My least-favorite in the Wallflowers series. A small disappointment because Kleypas makes you think that something will happen between Daisy and Cam Rohan based on Devil in Winter. She obviously had a change of heart because we now know Cam goes on to become a cornerstone of the Hathaways series.
I never loved Daisy in the other books so my interest in her story wasn't particularly great. I liked Harry but his strange past was kind of forced. However their romance and love story was sweet and romantic and can make your heart beat faster. That's why we read these books. Kleypas does it every time.

Not my favorite of the wallflower series. Daisy was never a favorite and I did not think her Hero was all that great. This book dragged for me....but I am very glad I read the series. It was fun to catch up with the other couples.
I loved it. It was passionate and vivid in the description of people, places, and actions. Very HOT!!! I'm a big Fan of Lisa Kleypas.
Another great installment in the Wallflowers series. While not my favorite of the 4 it was enjoyable to the very last. There was considerably less humorous one liners in this book that I have come to expect from this series but that didn't stop me from reading it as quickly as possible!
One word to describe this story: Sweet. Everything about this story was very sweet. I had a hard time with Daisy's parents reacting the way they did to Matthew's big secret. It just seemed out of character, but overall it was an easy, enjoyable read.
On another note, I'm so glad Kleypas didn't resort to her usual someone gets deathly ill and has to be nursed back to health plotline here. That by itself earned it a few more stars than usual.

Love this series! All four Wallflower books are wonderful.
Oh Mr. Swift <3
I just adore this quartet. Daisy is the bookish dreamer of the group. She discovers that her father has set her up with his young business partner, father knows best? Of course, both parties want nothing to do with each other, but the chemistry speaks for itself. Enough intrigue and plenty of scenes with the other wallflowers. I will miss this series.
Excellent story, great read! Lisa Kleypas never disappoints!
This is a Historical Romance set in England. This appears to be the 2nd or 3rd in a series although I have not read the previous books.
The Lisa Kleypas books are awesome. I have read the enitre Wallflower series and it is great! I couldn't put them down.
I adored the hero in this book!
I loved this book. Wonderful ending to the Wallflowers books.
Good book. I enjoyed all the books in the Wallflower series
Wonderful, just like all the rest in the series!
Like all readers of the Wallflower series, I anxiously awaited Daisy's story. I think that its an excellent addition to the series. Daisy and Matthew are a wonderful couple and Matthew has some heart melting lines. The secret that Matthew is hiding winds up sounding trivial at the end of the book, although I know that if it were my life, I would think it was the worst thing in the world too. The hardest thing to believe is the unwavering support that Matthew receives from the Bowmans. Otherwise, its a lovely story and a very good book. As other reviewers have mentioned, I wish there were more time to catch up with couples aside from Lillian and Marcus. A little more details on Evie and Sebastian would have been appreciated.
Absolutely wonderful finale to the wallflower series!
Love this series, this is the 4th book in the Wallflower series.
Another in the "Wallflower" Series. I have loved this whole series, and this story is no exception. All the characters from the past books show up, and you can glimpse where their lives have taken them. Daisy and Matthew are the focus of a fine, although reluctant romance.
Daisy Bowman is the last "wallflower" to find love and a happy ending!
Towards the end, I felt the story slowed a bit and the "secret past" was rather meek when all was said and done, but overall still I loved it! The worst thing...there are no more "wallflowers."

After spending three London seasons searching for a husband, Daisy Bowman's father has told her in no uncertain terms that she must find a husband. NOW. And if Daisy can't snare an appropriate suitor, she will marry the man he chooses -- the ruthless and aloof Matthew Swift. Daisy is horrified, but a Bowman never admits defeat...
This was a cute, "fluffy," lite romance; a quick read. The last of the Wallflower Series; Daisy (Marguerite) Bowman's story. I found it to be merely "okay."
I really do long for the characters and stories that Kleypas used to write; e. g., Lady Holly Taylor and Zachary Bronson in "Where Dreams Begin." None of her current stories can be compared to her older books.

a great book. enjoyed the whole series.

Final book in the series of 4 books. Loved all the books in this series.
Good addition to the wallflower series. Sad to see it come to an end.
Last book in the "Wallflower" series. Its Daisy's turn to find a husband and who she finds surprises even here!
Great read. Im sorry that the series is over
Great read. Im sorry that the series is over
enjoyable read - great for the beach!
Another great book and a fine finale to the Wallflower series. It wasn't my favorite of the series, but it was good enough!!
"Very Good Reading"
Miss Bowman has to marry before her father forces her to marry a man in his employ. A man her father values. Only when Mr Swift makes his apperance he is not the little man Miss Bowman had remembered from the past. He has changed into a good looking man and starts to catch her off guard. How could she have been so wrong. Swift has always cared for Miss Bowman and has admired her mostly from afar. But he has secrets and feels he would never have a woman like her.
another great lisa kleypas read. last of 4 in a series. my favorite is still "devil in winter".
Wonderful, Wonderful...I love returning characters so much! This was not as strong as the others in her series (in my opinion) but it was just as enjoyable because it was like being with friends.
Final installment in the wall flower series. Who will the last flower end up with? Nice story to round out the series.
After spending three London seasons searching for a husband, Daisy Bowman's father has told her in no uncertain terms that she must find a husband. Now. And if Daisy can't snare an appropriate suitor, she will marry the man he choosesthe ruthless and aloof Matthew Swift.
Daisy is horrified. A Bowman never admits defeat, and she decides to do whatever it takes to marry someone . . . anyone . . . other than Matthew. But she doesn't count on Matthew's unexpected charm . . . or the blazing sensuality that soon flares beyond both their control. And Daisy discovers that the man she has always hated just might turn out to be the man of her dreams.
But right at the moment of sweet surrender, a scandalous secret is uncovered . . . one that could destroy both Matthew and a love more passionate and irresistible than Daisy's wildest fantasies.

Sweet story and a nice end to the Wallflower series.
4th in "wallflower" series. Daisy discovers that the man she thinks she hates it the man of her dreams
Very good book. It is the 4th and last of the wallflower series. My second favorite.
Daisy finally gets her man, but she never thought it would be him. Matthew Swift, her fathers right hand man. He has grown into a very handsome man. And he has always loved her from afar. But he has secrets. Loved the book, hope you do too. enjoy!
final book in the wallflower series

I didn't like this one as much as the others in the series.
Lisa Kleypas does a masterful job of weaving together the stories of her characters. Here we see the youngest Wallflower mature in an intriguing young woman. But we also see the developing story of the other Wallflowers. A delightful conclusion that had me wishing the series were not yet concluded. (How delightful to learn Kleypas brings her four Wallflowers back in "A Wallflower Christmas."
I don't have the whole series but I'd recommend this book to anyone who is interested in these types of romance.
good book
The last of the "Wallflower" books is a good Kleypas novel, but not my favorite.
A very enjoyable read. The third book in the Wallflower series.
Typical bodice-ripper.
Couldn't even finish it. Which is odd for me since I trooper through even disapointing story lines. But with so many more promising reads on my TBR pile, there was no way I was going to waste time with this bit of nonsense. Curious it is to me that this novel has garnered so many positive ratings. Mahaps I seek too much in a mere romance novel. Must contemplate lowering standards....
What made this one so insufferable was the fact that it's the fourth in a series. I'll admit maybe I would have enjoyed it a tad more had I previously read the segueing three novels, (and I have every intention of reading Devil in Winter at some point). But in my opinion, the failure of this story is flat out author laziness. She had all three previous couples in this novel. Yes, that's right: All bloody three of them. So instead of having to make one hero look dashing and desirable to one heroine, the author tried to outdo herself with one former hero saying something dashing which was followed up by the second book's hero saying something equally witty. After the third book's hero made some intelligent (yet humorous, of course) response (while being the model husband and father) I just had too much. Must we watch four men compete for "man of the year"? I want ONE hero per book, thank you very much. Two if you're a really superior writer. But four? I mean, seriously.
This book was less about the actual couple in question and more the author relying on the previous three couples to carry her word count. Add to that the fact that neither this book's hero or heroine were all that compelling and you've got yourselves a stinker Ladies and Gentleman.
I recommend a fervent pass on this one.

Daisy's father has told her she must find a husband, now, or marry Matthew Swift. She is desparate to find someone, anyone, to marry. But then Matthews charm overcomes her hatred of him. She discovers he may be the man of her dreams after all. But then a secret threatens to destroy everything.
Very good read.
