This book is amazing. I only have a 100 pages left to go and this book keeps you guessing from page 1. Oh it's an awesome ride this time folks, I seriously think it is the best of the maximum ride series!! You will not be disappointed. And don't worry, I'm posting it up as soon as I'm done. This book deserves to be shared!!

The time has arrived for Max and her winged "flock" to face their ultimate enemy and discover their original purpose: to defeat the takeover of "Re-evolution", a sinister experiment to re-engineer a select population into a scientifically superior master race...and to terminate the rest. Max, Fang, Iggy, Nudge, Gasman, and Angel have always worked together to defeat the forces working against them--but can they save the world when they are torn apart, living in hiding and captivity, halfway across the globe from one another?

The bird kids are back! I know none of this is high brow writing or reading, but I really enjoy this series. This book was not the best, but I like that we got to learn more about Max (and so did she). The flock splits up, which made it a bit awkward, but seeing as I read this at the beach, I must say it was perfect beach reading. Short chapters that I could read and gaze at the water and not lose any of the story. Worth a read for bird kids fans :) Plus he writes this one himself it seems, the writing is less... forced.

Interesting book - a departure from Paterson's usual fare. It's definitely geared toward the younger readers - teens and tweens who like something familiar yet different. His characters have real-world issues common to many with the additional burden of being mutants. It's a good read; I'd recommend it for those who enjoy this genre.
