A historical novel about a little known period of Danish history. If you liked "The Other Bolyn" or "The Queen's Fool" by Phillipa Gregory then you will love this.

Although the premise of the book seemed interesting, I couldn't get into it. I quit reading after the first chapter. The prose reads like someone's rambling thoughts - not to the point, very unexciting.
Are all the royal families of Europe really descended from one ordinary man? Could be! An intriguing look at real historical events, interwoven with fiction. A fascinating story of power, sex, and mental illness. This is a book you won't be able to put down and you'll recommended to everyone you know!
This is a luminous, time-bending historical novel. It is an elegantly written love-story and tragedy embedded within a wretched political system.
This was an interesting story, but it didn't quite flow well for me. There are some graphic sex/ murder scenes if that interests you. I'd say this book was ok.
If you like historical mysteries, this is the right book for you.I loved it.
This book presents a perspective that is different, but intriguingly so, from what is recorded in other historical accounts of the same events. Worth reading.
Good read about Kingly goings on!
