Searching for ancient texts hidden in the lost library of Alexandria brings danger from multiple sides - international political enemies who all have their own reasons to keep the secrets of the past buried. No one can be trusted.

Great commentary on political America - but don't listen with kids or elders in the car. The language is a bit "blue" at times!

Two very different lives become entwined due to a disgraceful miscarriage of justice. Use of actual letters and newpaper reports from the time make this feal more like a true story than a fictional account. Very skillfully written. Based on real events and people, with plenty of asistance from the author's imagination. A must for anyone interested in the work of Arthur Conan Doyle, creator of Sherlock Holmes, or the legal and social structure of England in the early 1900s.

I got off to a slow start with Bandbox and at first struggled to keep all the characters and their nicknames straight, but part way through something clicked and the plot lines got interesting. The last few chapters I read in one late night sitting, eager to find out how all the different story lines were going to get resolved in the remaining pages.

The book on which the film was based. A coming of age tale of travellers searching for an unspoiled area - a pristine beach - and a simpler lifestyle, the commune of the modern world. Shades of "Lord Of The Flies" for the twenty-somethings who haven't quite grown into themselves or their role in life and are still searching for something without being able to explain what it is they are lacking to be happy or content.

4 CDs read by the author. So much happens in this small town! Funny and sad. Poignant story about one young woman finding out who she really is and how people really see her. Lots of humorous situations. Great attention to character detail. I feel like I know all the people and I've never been to Virginia or Italy!
