Patterson is a favorite of mine and my favorite character is the likeable Alex Cross - this is an Alex Cross book, with murder, mystery, Alex's family life and psychological unraveling.

This was a really good book. I always enjoy James Patterson's books, especially due to the short chapters that seem to keep the story moving along faster. I think anyone who likes thrillers would definetly like this story.

Like all the other James Patterson books, especially the Alex Cross series this book is the same - a great thriller that keeps you guessing right to the end. He has the usual short chapter set up which we all love I am sure making this a short read full of suspense...Great read would recommend to anyone

Another really good Alex Cross novel. James Patterson knows how to develop a story and draw you in. In this book, Alex Cross is trying to find the people responsible for the killing of bank employees and their families. Why is it happening when the instructions of the killer are carried out to the letter? What's the motive...?? The Mastermind is behind them all and he needs to be in control. You won't want to put this one down!!

What's to say. James Patterson does it again with another Alex Cross murder mystery. Don't start this one if you have something else to do, because it won't get done.
Enjoyable, fast paced thriller. Not totally realistic, but a page turner. Over 360 pages.
James Patterson always leaves you wanting more! Definitely one you can't put down until the wee hours of the morning. Alex Cross is a great hero!

I have read Patterson before, but this is my first time reading the Alex Cross novels. It's a fun read, not too graphic, and what a twist at the end!
This was a very good book. I look forward to his next one.
I would recommend fans of the Alex Cross series not miss this book. It was a little bit of let-down after the previous 5 (I'm just reading them all now). That is, it was a let-down right up until the final chapters. The story had all the unexpected twists and turns, in fact, MORE twists and turns that perhaps any of the other books.
I'm a huge fan of the Alex Cross series anyway, but this book really keeps the reader guessing. Great book.

Review -- Detective Alex Cross is called in to investigate a rash of robbery-murders in the area in this suspense filled novel by author James Patterson. A criminal calling himself the Mastermind is pulling off these crimes perfectly (to 9.9999 out of 10), using hired henchmen to do his dirty work for him while he reaps the benefits. Twists upon twists occur in this novel as the reader pores over each page eagerly, trying to find the killer even before the main character.
The Good: While not as fast-paced as 1st to Die, Roses are Red is a definite page-turner. The characters, as usual, are well-written and fully human in the reader's mind. The plot is thick, but not cumbersomely so, and the settings are vivid as ever.

Another great thriller from Patterson. The Alex Cross is definitely my favorite detective. The ending is sure to keep readers waiting for the next one as it left me totally surprised. I read this book faster than any book I have ever read. I couldn't keep my head out of this book!
This book was great. The short chapters really helped move the story along. I kept me guessing right up to the very last pages. I can't wait to read the next book in the series to see what happens next.
I just finished Roses are Red by James Patterson and it was a great read. I started the book on April 20th. The book was very interesting, I enjoyed out there was more in the book about his kids and their lives. There were some sad parts and surprises here and there as always. It was a good read like I said, some of his other Cross Series books were alot better than this one but I would give this one 3 out of 5 stars! I just started Violets are Blue.

This was an awesome book! I liked the story line and the description of detail that Patterson gave. The only downfall is that there is a second half to the story in "Violets are Blue". Which I didn't know about when I picked this one up.

This is an older James Patterson book when he was at his best. Alex has to catch bank robbers who have no regard for human life and kill indiscrimately. young children, women or men. His family life has problems also. Great book. Impossible to put down.
